HOW OUR “INNER TERRORIST” INFLUENCES OUTER WORLD EVENTS

It’s a VERY bitter pill to swallow, but see if you can follow my argument that supports the above “headline.” I’m prompted to write this blog based on last Sunday’s massacre in Orlando, FL. But it speaks to all those heinous acts, in the USA and abroad, that expose to our horror the hatred, depravity, and self-delusions of the terrorists behind the events.

WE ARE ALL ONE. And just what does that mean? Regardless of your religion, or lack of same, we are all woven of the same cloth, connected energetically (if not biologically) through the Creator behind all that exists, has ever existed, or will ever exist. This energetic connection is more powerful than we realize because our physical senses can neither see, hear, smell, nor taste it. And as human beings we rely on our sensing of this material world to create the majority of our beliefs.

At a largely unconscious level, each and every one of us carries within all that our human race has ever experienced; this is called our “race consciousness.” If you, like I, have ever experienced a dream during sleep that awakens you wondering where in the world those ideas and images come from, consider the following. I’m a frequent and avid dreamer, and I’ve had more than my share of violent, hate-filled dreams. Now I know they come from inside me, or how else could I dream them? Yes, sometimes a television or other image reflected during my daylight experience might trigger something; but most of the time such dreams SEEM to come from nowhere.

What I now understand is the following: at some inner level, notably an unconscious level, I carry within all of humanity’s experiences – just as you and everyone else does. I choose to believe that through dreaming I am releasing some of this negative energy so it can be transmuted into Love, another name I use for “God.”

At a conscious level – what I know about my life as Susan Truett Trammell in this 21st century America – I have never been violent, nor do I believe I have ever hated anyone. People’s actions are another matter, and I’ve felt plenty of disdain, even hatred, toward the inhuman acts our race is so capable of committing.

I believe the answer to how to rid our world of violence resides within each and every one of us; and that at a COLLECTIVE level we can raise the consciousness of our planet and its inhabitants so we no longer need to experience the horrors we so often do. I ask, no, I beg you, to examine your own, conscious beliefs and thoughts. What in your life do you hate, condemn, judge negatively? What would it take for you to become non-judgmental, loving, and forgiving? If you’re still with me – and I expect many who began reading this blog no longer are – then you can personally help our planet shift to a higher plane of awareness and peace. YES, one person CAN make a difference. And since we are all part of that collective ONE, the more of us who turn our attention, our intentions, our feelings, our habits, and our beliefs to focus positively on such divine attributes as love and peace, the more quickly we will turn things around. And it will seem nothing short of miraculous just how quickly we do this!

Remember when we had a world-wide day of prayer when, in the first Bush administration, we were mired in the Iraqi war with Sadam Hussein? Almost immediately there occurred a shift in the outer as we quickly moved beyond that conflict. Unfortunately, many others would follow. I’ve often wondered why, in the wars and conflicts of all kinds that have impacted our world since, we haven’t again turned to a day of international prayer to help resolve those conflicts and dissolve the hatred and fear that underlies them.

The power of power, influence, and money to corrupt is, I’m convinced, at the heart of our problems – every problem that vexes us and our world. There’s simply too much evidence of how power corrupts, and how control of the world’s resources – and the belief there’s NOT ENOUGH for us all, whatever the resource – are the motivations for so much darkness to persist.

I KNOW I am personally – as are you – empowered as a God-created individual to MAKE A DIFFERENCE for good in this world. It’s my mission, it’s why I’m here, now. And the same can be said for you. So whatever you believe about the Universe, God, the creation process, and/or your purpose, by placing responsibility or blame OUTSIDE YOURSELF you are simply adding to a problem when you could be part of the solution.

Please take time on a daily basis, as often as you can, to examine your own feelings and beliefs. While we may not be able to do much other than “erase” at an unseen level what we hold in our unconscious minds, we can and must banish our prejudices, judgments, hatred, and fears as individuals to make a positive difference and ensure the future of our human race. Get quiet and go inside, inviting and welcoming your inner wisdom (call this your Soul’s voice, if you will) to show you what your purpose is at this time in your life.

TOGETHER WE CAN TURN OUR WORLD AROUND, banishing the fear and hatred and replacing all such negativity with love and peace.

Namaste!
